Conversion and Transfers
Film to video conversion
The CinemaLab offers transfers of 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm Prints, and 35mm slides. Film transfers require quality prepping: leadering, inspection, and cleaning. This can be done immediately following processing of the original film at minimal cost. We can also conform, repair, and sync your film for sound upon request. Film transfers at The CinemaLab are performed using the Laird Telemedia Film Chain with a Ikagami 3 tube camera pickup. This optical image transfer process produces superior transfer quality of positive films. We can transfer to a variety of formats: Betacam SP, 1-inch, 3/4 U-Matic, S-VHS, HI8, VHS, DVCAM, and DVD. We can also transfer to tape stock at an additional charge (extra fee for DVCAM). We can also arrange for broadcast quality telecine transfers for 16mm and 35mm negative or positive.
VHS Standards Conversion and Duplication
The CinemaLab offers high quality VHS duplications from the following source formats: Betacam SP, 1-Inch, 3/4 Inch, S-VHS / HI8 mm, DVD, and DVCAM. The CinemaLab uses only high grade video products. All VHS duplications are recorded in SP (standard) mode with both stereo linear and HiFi tracks. Each and every tape is checked for video, audio and physical defects, and we can supply you with a wide variety of packaging for the finished product. Standards conversions between PAL & SECAM to NTSC (for VHS or 3/4 U-Matic only).
Please refer to our Video Duplications Requirements before ordering.
